This past week I felt uncreative, lost in the abyss of my empty mind. Simultaneously brooding over details and focusing on too many ideas at once. What to do when the muse is taking a leave of absence? When I consulted Julia Cameron's book "The Artist Way" for answers (my creative bible), I came across a concise and powerful quote that shuck me right back into reality:
"I merely took the energy it takes to pout and wrote some blues"

Just do the work and the rest will come to you. Sometimes the best advice is as simple as that.
